DMC numbers and AB drills, explained
If youβve just opened your first diamond painting, youβve probably noticed that every bag of drills has a number on it. Those are DMC numbers, and once you know what they mean, organising your drills gets so much easier.
Which one is right for you?
What are DMC numbers?
Most diamond paintings label each drill colour with a DMC number. Itβs a colour code, and the same number means the same colour across your kits. Thatβs why itβs so handy for spare drills: when you finish a painting, the leftovers can go into storage by number.
Our DMC Stickers are 9 A4 sheets of pre-cut 50 Γ 12mm labels, with 453 DMC numbers, 10 written colours for crystal drills and the like, 14 rounded numbers (100s, 200s and so on) and blanks.
What are AB drills?
AB drills are the extra-shiny ones, with a special finish that catches the light. They usually carry the same number as the plain colour, with βABβ in front, so itβs worth keeping them separate from your standard drills. Our AB Stickers are the same set as the DMC Stickers, with an AB prefix.
And Diamond Dust?
Diamond Dust drills have a coating of glitter on every drill. Ours are labelled by DMC colour too, so the Diamond Dust Stickers have DMC numbers marked DD.
Little labels for baggies
Our small stickers are 13mm, 216 per sheet, for labelling individual baggies or kitting up. They come in round and square, so they can tell you at a glance whether a bag holds round or square drills.
